Meet Montreal

Montreal is the current Manager of Operations at the Fort Bend county Clerk’s office, a devoted wife of over 35years, and a proud mother of three sons. She is running to serve as your next Fort Bend County Clerk.

Montreal and her husband, Sheltric, both grew up in Harris County and graduated from Furr Senior High School. Shortly after, they began a 30-year journey with the United States Navy, where Sheltric retired as a Navy Officer. When their military chapter closed, they chose to return to the Houston area and the strong reputation and welcoming spirit of Fort Bend County quickly captured their hearts. They have now called Fort Bend home for five years, and their granddaughter is a student in LCISD.

Montreal is deeply proud of the community that has embraced her family with opportunity, connection, and support. In addition to her leadership role in the County Clerk’s Office, she is the founder and owner of Peterseine’s Place 19:23 Inc., a non-profit organization supporting teen parents in continuing their education. Since 2023, the organization has assisted over 350 families.

Serving under the leadership of the current county clerk has been both humbling and transformative. Montreal has been entrusted with important responsibilities and placed in rooms where integrity, service, and discretion are essential. Her military-influenced work ethic and community-centered heart are key reasons she felt called to run for office.

As the Manager of Operations, she oversees policies and procedures, budgets, legislative updates, emergency management, records management/retention and manage inventories for all six county clerk locations. She understands the work BECAUSE SHE ALREADY DOES THE WORK.

The County Clerk’s office is responsible for four major divisions: Courts, Commissioner’s Court, Official Public Records, and Vital Records and Montreal’s daily leadership touches each of them. She is actively involved in key programs including the Veterans Program, Records Express, and Property Fraud Alert and she believes there is always room to grow, improve, and better serve the public.

Montreal’s campaign is built on being EXPERIENCED, PROVEN, DRIVEN, AND COMMUNITY DRIVEN. She is ready to serve on day one, no training needed and is committed to preserving the strong legacy that has been built while contributing to prepare the office for tomorrow’s future.

With gratitude, humility, and a heart for service, Montreal is ready to lead the Fort Bend County Clerk’s Office with integrity, excellence, and community at the center of every decision.

I’m running for Fort Bend County Clerk because I’m a proven, qualified public servant who believes in community-oriented leadership. I’ve been doing this work hands-on every day, and I know what it takes to keep our office efficient, supportive, and responsive to the people we serve.

I fully support my wife, Montreal, in her decision to run for office. Throughout my 30-year military career. she was my constant strength, holding our family together, encouraging me through every challenge, and leading with integrity and compassion. The same dedication she showed our family and my career is what she brings to her work every day, and I know she will serve Fort Bend County with honor.
